Beading Necklace; Christmas Gift for my Mother

Christmas - again, and again I did some handicraft work for my mother. She gets at least one present from me done traditionally.

So, what do you think?

Hopefully she won't misplace it two hours after she's gotten it. She's gotten more forgetful these last months, worse than ever - but she still doesn't see the need to do something about it. *sigh* No sense in groaning about it.

And I got me a new e-book reader, which is not yet loaded with all my favorite books and Snarry fictions. But I'm working on it. *g*

I haven't had a party, nor any guests. I just wanted to relax a bit and therefore didn't want to entertain anybody. What I did was, talking with [info]ispellit on the phone, talking to Babs, also on the phone, and answering several birthday e-mails. Now I will format some more Snarry fiction for the e-book reader and then I'll be off to bed.

A Happy New Year!
May all your Wishes come true.

You all don't really know what it means to me to be here, and how grateful I am that you still are interested in whatever happens in my life. *Holiday hugs and chocolate Snapes for all*

Last Night of the Proms 2008

I just told my family to fuck off. Since I'll never manage to go to The Last Night of the Proms live in London, I want at least these 90 minutes it gets aired here on TV for me. For me ALONE. Is this really too much to ask for?

Wink ;)

If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

May I introduce you to Zorro?

My mother got herself a new dog. Tomorrow he's nine weeks young and goes by the name of Zorro (*snort* I wish!).

This little puppy really is a stumper. Not even grabbing him at his hackles and shaking does the job. Training him will be a lot of work.

About the 'Nonexistent Cellphone'

It is official now, I won't get my cell back from the repair-service. They have had almost 7 weeks to repair the thing. Amazon was easily convinced to pay me my money back. No argument at all. Why do I believe that I was not the only person to send this brand of cell back?

Well lets see. I will get my money back sometime next week, the postage I paid for the send in to the repair-service for the cell, and I will get the payment from the fucking 1,-€ job.
This makes 167,95€ from the cell, 7,-€ postage, and 77,52€ for the 1,-€ job *snort* - makes 252,47€ !!! Whoa!

I can so tell you what I will do with this money. I will top it up to approx. 320,-€ and buy me the flashlight I want so much for my EOS 400D. YESSSS! Even if this means I won't get another cell for now. Fuck the cell, don't really need it anyway. I will order the flash from ebay UK. There it gets sold around 130,-€ cheaper than here in Germany.

And when the flash finally is here, I can take the pictures I always wanted to do. There are some old fabric buildings with lots of graffiti which are interesting enough, and the interior of our protestant church is worth one or another picture too. And I'm sure I will find a lot of photo-worthy motives with a flash that can lighten up more than 5 meters about the camera.

So, all in all, the weekend was not this bad. I'll get my flash sometime soon, and this makes me all fidgety with positive excitement. I won't say I am happy, because every time I say something like this, I get grounded the worst way very hard.

That Bus Driver really needs an Admonition!

Story about a bus driver who refuses to transport a Goth pair, because he walks her around on a collar and a lead. WTF? Who told this driver to act all fashion/lifestyle police?

Have a good Start into the New Year

All ye' have a good start into the Next Year. I wish you luck, health and success. And a BIG Thank You! to the visitors of this LJ; for being here, hearing me out, and giving me one or the other piece of advice. It is good to have you.

I presume, I'll look like the insect in this picture shortly. Because, boy, I need a drink...

''Thank You!''

I just opened my Christmas mail (the letters have lain on my desk since almost a week by now - sorry about that - I just had no mind to open them earlier).

Thank you so much Angela for your nice Christmas wish from Mexico. The pictures are truly gorgeous! And also a BIG hug for the other present and the e-card. You really made my Christmas a bit more bearable. *hugs you tight* I wish you were here.

Also a big Thank You! to [info]dementordelta. The card is lovely, and so are Harry, Sev and their little family ;) You are awfully nice, you know that?

I'd like to say ''Thanks'' for all the nice emails and the other Christmas wishes. You all really managed to brighten this holiday season, at least a bit. I'll try to get a grip and write a bit more about the recent happenings around later. No promises though.
