Another Article about the 'REAL' Snape

Here's another article about the man who probably inspired J.K. Rowling's Snape.

Follow me... )

Funny thing is, that this article claims that Mr Nettleship is not offended to be the one who inspired J.K.'s fictional character Snape, in contrast to the other article I dug up for you a few days ago.

So I shall say the same thing applies for this article (like for almost every other article of any would-be journalist worldwide): Don't take anything you read in gosship rags too seriously.

Thanks to [info]ptyx for pointing me to this article.

Article about Snape

Looks like Jo really doesn't do anything 'originally'... Now I'll just have to wait for an article that tells me, on whom Dumbledore is/was build on. *g*

Don't take this article, nor me too seriously. 'k?

Snape in the past! )

ACHTUNG! Leichter Spoiler im Bericht!

Does Alan Rickman know more about Snape's Future?

[info]ptyx has posted a link to an interesting essay: Bad Snape: Machiavelli’s Half-Blood Prince

And now, without much context to the article linked above, I am wondering again:
Does Alan Rickman know more about Snape than we all, or not?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there rumors about J.K. Rowling, taking AR by side, telling him more about Snape - providing him with informations about Snape's true alliances? If this rumour is true, maybe AR has 'revealed' some of Snape's ? Not deliberately, mind you!

Hasn't 'The Man' given an answer something along these line on Jimmy Kimmel, March 2003?
"I haven't played the bad guy for ages!"

Here's a copy of the article, mentioned above. )

Translation of the Express Interview with Alan Rickman

Because [info]spacedlaw asked, why I believe the AR interview from the Express is a fake one, I thought to translate it from German to English for you all. I know that someone did this before, but I can't remember who it was. And since I forgot to bookmark the site, I did my own translated version.

I might be wrong, but I really think the interviewer has 'added' and/or 'changed' a bit here and there. I don’t know if this only happened to make the interview more interesting, out of poor understanding of the English language of the translator, or out of a exaggerated understanding of Alan’s answers. We’re all aware that The Man avoids the issue at hand with, sometimes more sometimes less, aberrating answers. I think the interview itself has happened, but the answers are reproduced wrong/skewed somehow.

And, the magazine's layout and coverage is akin to the German 'Bild' or the British 'Sun'. I believe, this says a lot about the authenticity.

On to the Interview... )
